Description

Explosion-proof spotlights of the VAT51-PR series are designed for illumination over a long distance, on the territory of warehouses, overpasses and other areas where explosive gas or dust may be present, in accordance with the explosion protection marking. Gas-discharge lamps can be installed.

Features

  • The angle of rotation of the searchlight is adjustable in the range of 360° horizontally, the angle of inclination from + 60° to — 60° vertically.
  • High-strength glass with a high degree of transparency is additionally protected by a grid.
  • A parabolic reflector extended along the lamp axis provides a narrowly directed light beam.

Structure

The case material is powder-coated aluminum alloy, which forms an explosion-proof shell with the type of explosion protection "d".
Two options for the dimensions of the searchlight housing – 400W and 1000W.

Protective glass – heat-resistant, especially strong, with high light transmission capacity, is attached inside an aluminum ring and screwed to the lamp. To protect the glass, a protective grid is additionally used.

Inside the housing, a reflector, a cartridge and terminal clips for connecting power are installed. Ground bolts are installed inside and outside the luminaire.

Scope of delivery

The spotlight is supplied complete with the selected mount. By default, the spotlight is equipped with a single cable entry for unarmored cable.

For VAT51-PR-400-instead of the default cable entry:

- VK-X-VEL2BM-G3 / 4” - ExdG for armored cable;

- VK-X-VEL2BT-G3 / 4” - ExdG-G3/4” for armored cable in a pipe or for connecting this cable in a metal sleeve using a MMRn-20 coupling;

- VK-X-VEL2BT-G3 / 4” - ExdG-G3/4” for unarmored cable in a pipe or for connecting this cable in a metal jacket using a MMRn-20 coupling.

When ordering a floodlight, please note that the lamp body has a G3/4”thread.

For gas-discharge lamps that do not have a built-in control unit, a VAD-BAL type ballast is ordered, corresponding to the selected lamp type and power

Additional cable entries are required for VAD-BAL ballast:

- VK-X-VEL2BM-M25x1. 5-Exd for armored cable;

- VK-X-VEL4-M25x1. 5-ExdG or VK-X-VEL2-M25x1. 5-Exd for unarmored cable;

- VK-X-VEL2BT-M25x1. 5-ExdG-G3 / 4” for armored cable in a pipe or for connecting this cable in a metal jacket using a MMRn-20 coupling;

- VK-X-VEL2BT-M25x1. 5-ExdG-G3 / 4” for unarmored cable in a pipe or for connecting an electric cable in a metal sleeve using a MMRn-20 coupling.

When ordering a searchlight, please note that the VAD-BAL case has a M25x1.5 thread.

For VAT51-PR-1000, the VAT51-PR-1000 searchlight is manufactured complete with ballast.

Instead of the default cable entry:

- VK-X-VEL2BM-M25x1. 5-ExdG for armored cable;

- VK-X-VEL2BT-M25x1. 5-ExdG-G3 / 4” for armored cable in a pipe or for connecting this cable in a metal jacket using a MMRn-20 coupling;

- VK-X-VEL2BT-M25x1. 5-ExdG-G3 / 4” for unarmored cable in the pipe or for connecting this cable in a metal sleeve using the MMRn-20 coupling.

When ordering a searchlight, please note that the VAD-BAL case of the VAT51-PR-1000 searchlight has a M25x1. 5 thread cut on it.
